Sadly another two downtown businesses have closed this month in Midland. With more commercial enterprises being built and opened at the south end of town with all their free parking the downtown core is starting to feel a wee pinch which we hope can be resolved in the months ahead with more empty stores being filled once more with a variety of offerings to meeting shoppers’ needs. Folks who open businesses never plan for that day when sales drop off….but sadly it does happen even though folks have done their level best to serve the needs of their customers.
Midlanders as a whole should promote our town when they can. When speaking to out of town friends, relatives and businesses it might do well to sell them on setting up shop here. Being located in cottage country in the heart of Huronia at the Gateway to the 30,000 Island, our downtown has great potential yet untapped….you read it here first.
