On Saturday March 13 we lose an hour of sleep thanks to Daylight Saving Time. That’s when we turn time pieces and clocks ahead one hour. One wonders if the time has come to just stick with standard time or for that matter daylight time.
One recalls years ago when one of our reporters did “a streeted”, a man on the street getting reactions for a question like, “What do you think of daylight saving time? We couldn’t help but smile, when a chap observed, ” Farmers like it since there is an additional hour of sun on their crops.” In any event remember the old saw, “Spring forward Fall back.”
It’s also a great time to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors and CO detectors!
