Georgian Bay General Hospitals’ volunteers, some 400 of them and hospital auxiliary which recently marked its 110th anniversary is a team to be reckoned with….Our hospital volunteers are heroes in their own right….some logging literally decades and decades of unheralded service to the life and times of GBGH.
While RVH in Barrie operates with thousands of volunteers, volunteers in Midland are equally dedicated when it comes to work in any kinds of weather. They are the first to greet you at Main Entrance at GBGH. Always with a friendly smile and a warm hello, they gladly direct visitors and patients. Both the coffee and spanking new gift shops are managed by friendly volunteers as are a host of other departments including “emerg.” As you can imagine, volunteers are always needed and appreciated. If you have a few hours to spare learn more about volunteering. The love of my life volunteered a few months ago and enjoys every bit of it.
