King Street between Elizabeth Street to Hugel Avenue was THE hard court in downtown Midland, Saturday……the hard court wasn’t polished wood but well travelled pavement. The mother of all basketball tourney attracted hoopsters both young and old. Add to that, B101 FM music, and free pizza. The weather was perfect, players were top of their game….. .late in the afternoon while waiting for Public Works employees to take away hoops and saw horses, a number of parents threw a few hoops to see if they still had the right stuff. Participants to the person had fun…..kinda like street hockey without yelling, “Car.” These special summer downtown events are always crowd pleasers…..from Our Midland.ca, we say, bravo, kudos and well done.
