People Power In Midland Alive & Well

It has been seemingly decades since “people power” in Midland has been so alive. Participants, to the person, can be proud of what they have accomplished to date. Not expecting a home run each time they have come up to bat, they have shown great class. No need to go over the long list of issues that brought them together, except to say they did come together in droves.

No matter the issue, if concerned, displeased, curious or whatever they wanted to know what was up, costs involved, would it be good for Midland as a whole or did the issue benefit one person/group or another?  Asking questions, getting caught on what’s happening at Town Hall and coming out to meetings to have a say…

A democracy is well served by transparency, public meetings, not consistent in-camera sessions.

So a special “well done” to all ratepayers for attending valuable public meetings so as to be well informed about the many issues we are challenged with these days!
