North Simcoe residents, many of them at least, truly boast a host of Nick Names: there was Shorty Boyd, the Silver Fox Pinchen, Cuppy Gropp,  Pitt Legault, Chippy Lumsden.  And how about Buzz Brown,  Chickens Johnson, Lefty St.Amant? Nick names… tell a story of their own don’t they?

There was Dusty an ident policeman, Scoop a newspaper person. We bet you know dozens of friends you call by their Nick Name . Torchy rented cabins decades ago in Midland.  There is always a Red, a Boomer, Babe, can you think of  more.

Management regrets no cash prizes are up for grabs, but Our Midland would love to hear from you with your list of Nicknames including your own.  Share this or reply if nicknames are still relevant.

That’s it for today, have a great day, all the best from Plug!

    1. Thanks for the comments Jack. The article as actually written by Doug Reed but when it goes to Facebook automatically, it is posted using Cory’s facebook account due to limitation in the way the automatic poster feature works. Glad it brought back memories!
