Will There Be A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony?

One was wondering if the mayor, of all the people, will be on the job today cutting the ribbon at new four way stop at Elizabeth and King streets in downtown Midland. If not the mayor, who then?  Maybe the Police Chief should be joined by the foreman of the public works department.  If they too are busy, maybe the ribbon could be cut by a shop keeper in the area or a member of the library staff.  Chances are a police car will be there to monitor the comings and goings. Thank goodness  the four way stop will have been put to good use before the annual butter tart festival rolls around next month. Remember this stop business is a three month trial not etched in stone for now.
