Shared: Basketball team from Midland’s St. Theresa’s Catholic High School wins gold

The St. Theresa’s Catholic High School senior girls basketball team captured the gold medal on the weekend at the Parry Sound High School Invitational Tournament.

Eden Robillard was named tournament MVP after leading the Thunder to three straight victories, including a win over the host Panthers in the final.

In earlier action, St. Theresa’s defeated Almaguin Highlands Secondary School in a 45-point rout, and then got past Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School in a tight defensive battle.

Coach Lori-Ann Clancy complimented her team for playing with confidence, athleticism and strength during the tournament.

The team consists of Nicole Detambel, Kelly Middaugh, Lexie Richards, Eden Robillard, Kat Sanders, Sarah Tate, Sydnee Tavernier, Brooke Vout and Jessica Wright.
