Shared: Bulbs of Fire in Tiny Township caters to those who enjoy flavourful food

Bulbs of Fire grew from an accidental farm business that Bart Nagel stumbled upon.

Nagel and his wife, Simone, moved to Canada from Holland 11 years ago with plans to live a simple life off the land. They planted a vegetable garden at their Tiny Township home and included some local garlic.

“I love cooking with garlic,” Nagel said.

And the garlic that grew was unlike anything he had ever tasted before.

The Nagels raise chickens on the property and soon egg customers started to express interest in the garlic drying on the porch.

“People saw the garlic hanging … which we were growing at the time for ourselves,” Nagel said.

He wouldn’t sell it at first, but more and more people started to ask. And…
