Shared: Charges laid after man attacked with knife at Penetanguishene home

Police officers from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP detachment were dispatched to a report of male allegedly being assaulted with a sharp edged weapon at a Penetanguishene home late in the evening of Dec. 21.

Officers located the victim and paramedics were called to the scene to treat his injuries. Damage to the interior of the home was noted, and with the assistance of members of the public, the male suspect was located in town and arrested.

Police have charged Tyler Franz, 25, of Penetanguishene, with assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000 contrary, and fail to comply with undertaking.
