  1. More the reason why some people should be in hospitals also shows how provincial and federal correctional centres and officers, aren’t equipped or trained properly how to deal with inmates with mental health issues.

  2. see what happens behind closed doors that they dont want the public to know. good for him to put this out here now maybe they will do their job and do something about this. this needs to be investigated not shoved under the rug.this needs to be shared all over the place

  3. Government doesn’t like it when secrets get out. It’s the same with our hospitals. Nurses have been disciplined for voicing their concerns regarding patient care and the lack of services available.

  4. This should not be about the person who posted on social media but on the inmate!
This is abuse and it is not dignify and that is what the media should be focusing on!
He should have reported this! Actions should have been taken to corrected the condition of the inmate!
However, if he did report it and nothing was being done how can you than hold one accountable for standing up for someone who can’t stand up for their own self.

  5. Dad society when this happens in our day & age. Not to mention the whistle blower getting in trouble…ummm shouldn’t that be the stupid so called Manager?

  6. Yes ok punish the guard for posting it on social media… But if this issue was brought to the managers attention and manager still did nothing ….then that’s wrong and the guard posting on Twitter should be least of managers worries…. Guard needs to go up and above managers head… The way I see it if guard is going to loose his job then he can do it knowing what is right!!! Same goes for nurses or anyone!!!!

  7. This man did his job and took the biggest chance and stood up to his supervisors and they’re going to punish him. Shame on them those supervisors they should be fired for lack of doing their job that was clearly neglect and abuse of their power. And this is what our tax dollars are paying for.

  8. i heard they are All Treated very bad At that Jail , i know inmates there With Simular Fates , i Also know a couple Guards there that Also know the Shame that is going on, And Some of it has to do with the Jail Warden , Apparently there are nightly beatings For Some , others are Forced to Perform Oral Sex on the guards and others or Pay funds or Some the inmates Face beatings and other Abuse, If they do not Obey ,Not Sure how True all this is , but For What i been Told , you just never know , and i had heard about it like 4 or so months ago.. I had Found it hard to Believe , but now Reading this Post , it Sure looks True now 🙁

  9. Even if people disagree that the i/m deserves it or doesn’t deserve that, we should all have the right to know what happens in the facilities that are funded by us. Stop keeping people in the dark. These policies that break our Canadian charter of rights should be burnt. It all comes down to accountability.

  10. Sad example of how we are looking at the whole incarceration process. This is only one example of bureaucratic incompetence.
