Shared: Environment Canada issues extreme cold warning for Simcoe County

A special weather statement for Simcoe County has ended and has been replaced by an extreme cold warning, with temperatures expected to fall rapidly tonight.

The extreme cold warning is in effect for Barrie, Collingwood, Hillsdale, Midland, Coldwater, Orr Lake, Orillia, Lagoon City, Washago, Innisfil, New Tecumseth, Angus, Orangeville, Grand Valley, Southern Dufferin County, Shelburne, Mansfield, and Northern Dufferin County.

A prolonged period of very cold wind chills is expected.
