Members of the public are invited to join with officers at a farewell party for the Midland Police Service Feb. 3.

The service is being disbanded after 125 years of service in Midland. In September 2017, council voted to dispand the community service in favour of the OPP.

The event is a celebration and a look back at memories with photos, music and refreshments.

It is not a political event and is open to anyone in the community who wishes to share memories and express well wishes to past and present staff.

Anyone with photos to add to the slideshow, or to share stories can email [email protected]

The event takes place at the Midland Legion hall from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. The main ceremony is set to begin at 8 p.m.
