Shared: Five snowmobile operators charged by Southern Georgian Bay OPP

Members of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP snowmobile patrol and road officers have been busy checking snowmobile operators on area trails and roadway crossings since early January 2018.

Officers have charged five people with various offences under the Motorized Snow Vehicle Act. In all, over 500 snowmobile operators have been checked throughout the detachment patrol area in 2018.

Snowmobile operators are reminded to operate their snowmobiles within their abilities and to the trail conditions. Trail conditions and safety information can also be found on the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs website.
