Shared: Five things you need to know about the Waypoint/Chigamik health hub

1. After seven years of work and discussions, the Government of Ontario has approved funding for a joint health hub with services from the Waypoint Centre for Mental Health and Chigamik Community Health Centre.

2. The 40,000-square-foot facility will be located on a 1.2-hectare property at 287 Bayshore Drive at Edgehill Drive and Gloucester Street in downtown Midland. It will include a two-storey 1,895-square-foot building.

3. The proposed health hub will house the outpatient services currently offered by Waypoint at the building across from Georgian Bay General Hospital and at the Housing Employment Rehabilitation Services Our Place Social Club (HERO) centre on King Street. Chigamik will relocate its services from its 845 King Street location.
