Shared: Former PC Leader Patrick Brown won’t endorse successor in Barrie riding

Patrick Brown won’t be publicly supporting the man following in his local footsteps.

The former Ontario Progressive Conservative Party leader, who was gunning for the Barrie-Springwater-Oro-Medonte MPP seat before being turfed from the party’s caucus earlier this year, will not endorse his PC successor in the riding, Doug Downey.

Downey was appointed as PC candidate in April. He’s running against Keenan Aylwin (Green), Dan Janssen (NDP), Jeff Kerk (Liberal), Mark Mitchell (Libertarian), Darren Roskam (None of the Above Direct Democracy Party) and independents Ram Faerber and Michael Tuck in the June 7 provincial election.
