Shared: Freezing-rain warning ends in Barrie and other areas, but remains for Midland and Orillia
The freezing-rain warning issued this morning for Barrie, Innisfil, New Tecumseth, Angus, Hillsdale and Collingwood has ended.
Instead, Environment Canada said rainy weather is expected to drop 15 to 25 millimetres of rain on the region today and tonight.
The rain may occasionally fall heavily at times, although there may be significant breaks in the precipitation from time to time, as well.
However, the drive home may still be slick today for people in Midland, Coldwater, Orr Lake, Orillia, Lagoon City and Washago, where the freezing-rain warning remains in effect. The agency’s weather warning advised that “significant” freezing rain will likely fall in those areas.
