Shared: Fuller Avenue property in Penetanguishene to be rezoned for residential hospice
It appears as though a new residential hospice building will be allowed on Fuller Avenue after all.
Penetanguishene council committee passed a motion to approve a zoning amendment to permit institutional use on a 3.1-acre parcel of residential property at 948 Fuller Ave. — the piece of land set aside for Hospice Huronia.
This rezoning application did see some public opposition, as two residents spoke out against placing a hospice in a residential subdivision, believing it would have traffic impacts along an already busy road.
Andrea Beatty, director of planning for the Town of Penetanguishene, doesn’t believe that will be the case.
