The public push for an outdoor pickleball court brought the discussion around an outdoor ice rink back to the forefront.
With the much-debated new pickleball court getting $135,500 allocated in the 2018 budget, some councillors questioned why there weren’t any dollars earmarked for an outdoor rink.
“We as a council aren’t remembering all of the people who were here advocating for an ice rink way before this other group started advocating for pickleball,” said Coun. Dan LaRose.
