Georgian Bay General Hospital’s merry-go-round of CEOs has finally stopped.
On Sept. 11 the Midland hospital welcomed in its fourth president and CEO in a span of just 10 months. Gail Hunt took over for Paul Davies, who had been in charge since June.
“We’ve had a lot of turnover in senior management, so we are all in the same boat,” said Hunt, who came to Midland after spending 15 years in charge of Chapleau Health Services in northern Ontario.
GBGH’s year got off to a hectic start when longtime CEO Karen McGrath departed in January. John Kurvink took over on an interim basis and held the position until May. When Kurvink left, Davies was named the new interim CEO and was in charge until Hunt arrived.
