A 65-year-old Georgian Bay Township man was airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital after a single vehicle ATV crash on June 24.

The Southern Georgian Bay OPP were dispatched at 4:50 p.m. on Sunday evening to O’Hara Point Road. Responding officers located a 65-year-old man and his ATV at the bottom of a small cliff.

The injured man was treated by Georgian Bay Fire and Emergency Services and Simcoe County Paramedic Services and transported to Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland. From there he was transported by Ornge Air Ambulance to a Toronto area hospital for further treatment.

OPP officers were assisted by members of the OPP Central Region Technical Collision investigators in investigating the cause of the crash.
