 A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise funds for a Tay Township family, after their home was significantly damaged by a fire on Jan. 8.

Tay Fire and Emergency Services responded to a fire at a two-storey house on 4157 Nielsen Rd., just outside Victoria Harbour, shortly before 11 p.m. Monday. Firefighters entered the building and successfully rescued two people trapped inside the house.

Four people were able to evacuate prior to the fire department’s arrival.

Brian and Phyllis Stanley lived in home with their son, daughter and four grandchildren.

Five of the six people in the home at the time of the fire were transported to Georgian Bay General Hospital with varying degrees of injuries. One of them was later released with minor…
