Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Southern Ontario
Humidex values reaching 40 C are expected. The extreme heat event will continue through Monday.
Daytime high termperatures of 31 C or higher are expected on both Sunday and Monday with Humidex values near 40 C. Overnight low temperatures will only fall to near 20 degrees, providing little relief from the heat.
A cold front is expected to move through the area on Tuesday.
Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle. Extreme heat affects everyone.The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, and people working or exercising outdoors.
