A 49-year-old Tay Township man is facing impaired driving charges after a single vehicle rollover on Aug. 31 in Tay Township.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP were dispatched to the rollover, which occurred on Vasey Road near Gervais Road just before 5 p.m. Officers spoke with the driver and conducted a roadside investigation.
As a result, Dwayne Dayler was charged for driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood. His vehicle was seized and his driver’s licence was suspended for seven days.
Dayler is scheduled to appear in court in Midland on Oct. 11.
Members of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP were kept busy over the Labour Day long weekend. Officers responded to over 260 calls for service, including seven calls on area waterways.
