Police responding to a structure fire in Tay Township on Aug. 22 were alerted to possible impaired driver who had driven a truck onto a resident’s front lawn damaging it.

Southern Georgian Bay OPP located the pick up truck and the male driver nearby.

An investigation revealed that the man was not only impaired but was driving a stolen truck containing more than $5,000 worth of stolen items while on probation. He also had a suspended licence and was on probation. Police recovered the truck and stolen items.
