A medical-marijuana producer is looking at building a facility in Tay Township.
William Simpson, president of Canacrafted Inc., approached council on Jan. 10 to publicize his intention to create a 10,000-square-foot marijuana grow-op, which he says would bring 30 to 50 jobs to the region.
“We would like the blessing of the community to build a licensed production facility in Tay Township, following the current guidelines and bylaws that are in existence, to provide jobs and income to our community,” said Simpson.
