Shared: Midland aiming to impress cruise ship tourists

The Town of Midland is putting extra effort into ensuring visiting cruise ship tourists have the best experience possible.

A series of celebration days featuring a variety of artists and artisans, live entertainment, a powwow performance and birds of prey show have been planned for every time a cruise ship docks in the harbour this summer.

“As we get all of these visitors in here, we have to get more structured in how we receive them and how we entertain them,” said Mayor Gord McKay. “There is nothing worse than inviting people to a party and not being able to show them a good time.”
