A new gynecology clinic has been launched in Midland, as Georgian Bay General Hospital begins the process of rebuilding and re-establishing gynecological and obstetrical services.

“It is important women have access to timely gynecological services in the community,” said Dr. Kim Bremer, Gynecology Clinic co-lead.

The clinic, which officially opened on Oct. 23, will provide consultations to patients during the mornings and perform minor surgical procedures in the afternoons. Open every other Monday, the clinic is available to patients referred by their family doctor and is expecting to see around 40 patients a month.
