Shared: Midland-area Terry Fox Run has topped $2 million in fundraising

What is possible is achievable.

This year the Terry Fox Run in north Simcoe County has surpassed the $2 million mark for cancer research since it started hosting the annual event in 1983. That figure puts the Midland region in the top 20 communities in Ontario for fundraising.

“I am delighted and proud. What a caring a generous community we live in,” said event chair Don Chapman.

This year the run, formerly known as the Midland Terry Fox Run, has been renamed to the Terry Fox Run in the Heart of Georgian Bay to better represent the four municipalities that support the fundraiser.
