Shared: Midland, Beausoleil First Nation renew working relationship

The Town of Midland and Beausoleil First Nation have signed a protocol agreement to promote open, ongoing discussions between the two communities.

“The Town of Midland recognizes the deep history that Indigenous peoples have with the areas where Midland is now located,” said Midland Mayor Gord McKay.

The purpose of the agreement is to ensure there is transparent dialogue and engagement between the two sides with regard to municipal and Indigenous matters. Specifically, the agreement will focus on planning and economic development.
