Shared: Midland, Beausoleil First Nation to put greater emphasis on working together

The Town of Midland and Beausoleil First Nation are renewing their relationship, having developed guidelines for a formal protocol agreement that will place a greater emphasis the two communities working together.

“This is two communities coming together to look at building a better relationship,” said Coun. Jack Contin.

A five-page document briefly outlines the agreement between the two sides, which was hashed out by councillors Contin, George MacDonald, Clayton King and Kelvin Jamieson over the past year. The purpose of the agreement is to collaboratively share information that benefits each community, to build a positive working relationship, and create a path for continuous open dialogue.
