Midland police have charged a 36-year-old Midland man with impaired driving after responding to a vehicle stuck in a downtown snowbank.

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle lodged in a snowbank on Jan. 1 and determined the driver was impaired.

Sean Mitchell was placed under arrest and brought back to the local detachment and asked to provide breath samples. Mitchell was found to have more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

He is scheduled to appear in Midland court on Jan. 18.
