Members of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP were dispatched to a report of a suspicious male walking in an open lane on Highway 12 in Midland at 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 12.
Attending officers located the male between King St. and William St. and were able to remove him from the road without incident.
Investigation at the scene resulted in the male being arrested and taken to the Southern Georgian Bay detachment for further investigation.
Police report that Steven Charlebois, 30, of Midland was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Midland at a future date.
