The next group of Midland councillors will be doing things quite differently.
Council passed a new procedural bylaw on Aug. 27, which revamps the entire way municipal meetings are conducted.
Starting in the new year, meetings will move from Monday nights to the first and third Wednesday of the month. This will allow council to avoid the holidays that occur on Mondays.
Council will receive agendas one week in advance of meetings, giving them time to prepare. Only items councillors want to debate will be pulled from the agenda and discussed.
