Shared: Midland’s King Street revitalization project receives provincial funding

Midland’s King Street revitalization project is getting a small boost from the provincial government.

The town is eligible for up to $50,328 in funding from the Ontario Main Street Revitalization Initiative, which has committed to providing up to $1 million to Simcoe County municipalities.

Steven Del Duca, minister of economic development and growth, was in town on March 14 to announce the provincial support for Midland’s main street overhaul.

“Vibrant main streets like this one help attract visitors, boost tourism and strengthen the local economy, regional economy and ultimately the Province of Ontario’s economy,” said Del Duca, former minister of transportation.
