An uplifting musical about personal redemption and a small-town reawakening will take the centre stage at the Huronia Players Theatre in February.
The Spitfire Grill is a story about a young woman named Percy Talbott who is released from jail, moves to the rural town of Gilead, Wisconsin and ends up working at a local restaurant.
“This is a wonderful, heartwarming story about second chances, redemption, and developing faith in yourself,” said director Sue Cook.
Percy sets to work in the town in search of a better life, but has to deal with a swirl of small town gossip led by the village busybody.
“Percy must overcome first impressions and opinions and assumptions that people make about others,” said Cook.
