Members of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP recently removed three drunk drivers from area roadways after receiving driving complaints from the public.
On February 27 at 6:42 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle on King Street in Midland. Officers entered into a drinking and driving investigation with the male driver and ended up transporting him back to the Southern Georgian Bay OPP detachment.
The driver, Douglas Patrick Lewis a 60-year-old from Tay Township was charged with: driving while ability impaired, and driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in blood.
His vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days and his driver’s license is suspended for 90 days. He was released from custody and is set to appear in court in Midland at a…
