The Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre is in rough shape and consultants estimate it’s going to take approximately $2.8 million to bring it back up to par.

A building condition assessment carried out by FCAPX rated the current building’s condition as poor and recommended 63 projects be completed over the next 10 years in order to keep the facility operational.

While the majority of the buildings systems fall within the fair to good rankings, there are five which the consultant believes are poor and need to be addressed right away.

These recommended improvements include: $205,200 for a new dry sprinkler system, a $93,480 roof replacement, $77,280 to replace the rubber flooring, $66,000 for a new compressor system and $30,000 for baseboard…
