Penetanguishene council once again changed their mind in regards to the construction of pickleball courts at McGuire Park.

After nixing the idea to build four separate pickleball courts at the park in April of 2017, council reconsidered the project in September and brought it up during budget discussions later in the year. They eventually decided to spend $245,000 to reconstruct the two tennis courts and build four standalone pickleball courts north of the bocce ball courts.

On March 28, the topic was back in front of council after Deputy Mayor Anita Dubeau served up a notion of motion.
