Shared: Penetanguishene resident celebrates 100th blood donation

Penetanguishene’s Stephane Leblanc donated blood for the 100th time on March 28.

The volunteer firefighter was honoured by Canadian Blood Services for the milestone donation at a blood donor clinic in Penetanguishene last week.

Donating blood has always been important to Stephane, who invited 10 fellow volunteer firefighters to donate along with him during his 100th donating.

“I hope that by spreading the word about my donation it can help increase blood donations in Penetanguishene,” said Leblanc.

A blood donor clinic is held in Penetanguishene six times a year at the Penetanguishene Legion and has a goal of 80 blood donations at every clinic. More donors are needed to come out and donate to ensure local patients…
