Shared: Penetanguishene restaurant offering free Christmas dinner to those in need

Phil’s Casual Dining will once again be helping feed those in need this holiday season.

Owner Phil Karpathios is busy preparing for the Penetanguishene eatery’s eighth annual Christmas dinner for those in need.

“I want to show appreciation to the customers who support my restaurant by giving back to those in the community who are not able to have a Christmas dinner,” said Karpathios.

“I made a promise to myself that when this restaurant could support an event like this I would start doing it. Now we are in year eight.”

Beginning at 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, residents can come and enjoy a free turkey dinner, complete with stuffing and all of the fixings. Kids will get a teddy bear, some cookies and a chance to meet Santa Claus…
