North Simcoe’s Vanessa Kiraly has modelled in more than 180 runway shows, designed her own runway collection, worked as a photographer during Toronto Men’s and Women’s Fashion week, and appeared on five magazine covers.

And she is just 20 years old.

Kiraly attended Penetanguishene Secondary School before moving to Toronto to study physiology and psychology at the University of Toronto. Now in her third year of university, she views her stint in the fashion industry as a “professional hobby.”

“I started it because I wanted to have an extracurricular, besides my school work. It ended up being a business, but I make sure that it doesn’t interfere with my school work.”
