Southern Georgian Bay OPP officers are investigating after the lifeless body of a 35-year-old Toronto man was pulled from the water at Bluewater Beach Aug. 19.

Emergency crews were called to the Tiny Township beach between the 4th and 3rd Concession at 12:49 p.m. after friends found the man without vital signs under the water. He was reportedly swimming in the area with his friends at the time.

A good Samaritan started performing CPR once the man was placed on the sand, while waiting for paramedics to arrive. When they did, they took over and transported the man to Georgian Bay General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His name has been withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
