Shared: School boards pushed to ask for cancellation of EQAO testing

The Simcoe County District School Board will receive correspondence at its next board of trustees meeting asking them to support cancelling EQAO testing for the 2017-18 school year.

In October, trustees at the Peel District School Board passed a motion asking the Ministry of Education to cancel the standardized testing in the wake of plans to review curriculum and how students are assessed.

A request for support from other school boards was circulated and will be on the Nov. 22 agenda for the SCDSB board of trustees meeting.
