A Liberal action plan to support the rapidly growing number of Ontario seniors is a major step in the right direction, a seniors advocacy group says.
Focusing on supporting seniors who want to live independently lines up with the views of CARP members, said Anthony Quinn, the nonprofit group’s director of community affairs.
“We agree with giving people the supports that they need to help them stay in their own places,” Quinn said. “It’s the best way to spend the least resources.”
Premier Kathleen Wynne announced the initiative — called Aging with Confidence: Action Plan for Seniors — on Nov. 7.
