1. The Festival at Fort Willow

2. Apple Harvest Craft Show

3. Carnegie Days
This annual arts festival inspired by the MacLaren Art Centre building's origins as an 1917 Carnegie Library, runs to Oct. 2 in Barrie. Explore the role language plays in contemporary art through exhibitions, public art projects, performances, readings, artists’ talks, film screenings, tours and workshops at the gallery and locations throughout Barrie. 4. Culture Days
Discover the world of artists, creators, curators, and designers at work in their community and enjoy free, hands-on, interactive activities throughout the city in unexpected places as part of Culture Days. The event runs to Oct. 2 at various locations in Simcoe County. Visit culturedays.ca.
5. Pumpkin Mania
Rounds Ranch (1922 County Road 92, Elmvale) hosts this event every weekend until Oct. 31. Enjoy pumpkin hockey, pumpkin bowling and pumpkin bingo as well as a pie-eating contest, seed-spitting contest and more. Visit roundsranch.com.
6. Small Halls Festival
This is a three day indoor and outdoor multi venue event held at nine community halls in Clearview Township, showcasing rural, traditional events in culture, music, art, film, food, heritage and more. The event runs to Oct. 2. Visit smallhallsfestival.ca.
7. The Bay Studio Tour
The Bay Studio Tour features local artists from the towns of Penetanguishene and Tiny, Ontario, along with guest artists from the surrounding area. Their studios and galleries are located on or near the beautiful shores of Georgian Bay. Visit thebaystudiotour.com.
8. Tears for Fears
Casino Rama welcomes Teasr for Fears Oct. 1. The band is known for Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Shout, Head Over Heels and Woman in Chains. Doors open at 7 p.m. and show time is 8 p.m. Tickets start at $40.
9. Acoustic Strawbs
The Midland Cultural Centre hosts Strawbs Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. As the band celebrates four decades of music making, it is still difficult to categorize the unique sound that has made it Britain’s most successful international progressive folk-rock group. 10. Showcase of Homes Tour
Big Brother Big Sisters of North Simcoe hosts Showcase of Homes Oct. 1. This self-guided tour features a selection of five-six homes that possess a unique charm.
