The Simcoe County District School Board could redraw the boundaries for trustee areas before the next municipal election.

On March 7, trustees at the business and facilities committee meeting recommended the board approve several changes to trustee areas.

The changes would see Bradford West Gwillimbury and New Tecumseth split into individual areas, joining Clearview with Adjala-Tosorontio, Essa, and Borden, joining Collingwood and Wasaga Beach, joining Midland and Tay with Penetanguishene and Tiny, and aligning Severn with Ramara and Orillia, while Barrie, Innisfil, and Oro-Medonte and Springwater would remain status quo.
