Shared: Simcoe County unveils LINX Transit Service

Residents of Simcoe County will soon be able to take public transit between communities in the county and beyond.

On June 12, the County unveiled the LINX Transit Service. The first route, running between Penetanguishene/Midland and Barrie with stops in Wyebridge, Waverley, Elmvale and Midhurst, launches on August 7.

The service will operate Monday to Friday, with service starting at 6 a.m. with the final drop off at 7:40 p.m.

Between August 7 and Sept. 4, the County is offering complimentary fares.

After Labour Day, regular fares for the route are $2, $4, and $6, based on a zone system. Exact cash fares only will be accepted. In mid-July, the County will offer a LINX reloadable card.
