Southern Georgian Bay OPP arrested and charged a 23-year-old who was caught speeding, left his vehicle and fled on foot.

Police were conducting traffic enforcement on County Road 93 at Wyebridge on May 3. At approximately 12:34 a.m. police observed a vehicle travelling 125 kilometers per hour in a 60 km/hr zone.

The driver fled police, left his vehicle and attempted to get away on foot. He was located at approximately 6:55 a.m. with the assistance of OPP uniform members and emergency response team and K-9 unit.

The driver, Jerrel Mytill, 23, of Scarborough was arrested and charged with: driving 50 km over the posted speed limit, stunt racing, driving at an excessive speed, driving while under suspension, driving a motor vehicle with an open…
