Shared: Southern Georgian Bay OPP charge snowmobiler with driving impaired on Little Lake
On Friday, March 30 at 6:35 p.m., Southern Georgian Bay OPP were dispatched to a report of a snowmobile breaking through the ice on Little Lake in Midland.
Responding officers, along with members of the Simcoe County Paramedic Service and Midland Fire Service, attended the scene and located a lone man walking on the ice surface who had been operating a snowmobile. The man had not gone through the ice but did have a mechanical issue with his machine while driving on the ice.
The man walked to shore and was checked out by paramedics and spoken to by scene investigators. A drinking and driving investigation was commenced by investigators which resulted in Christopher Story, 32, of Penetanguishene being charged with care or control while Impaired and care or…
